Welcome to Beadflowers!
Here you will find the more-than-500 beading patterns I designed and published. They are now presented in a series of books, all available from your local Amazon site. Keep scrolling down this page to view the details of each book. Or click on the button below to purchase immediately…
Some individual tutorials are still currently available in my Etsy store, should you wish to browse those….

I began beading in 2003, quite by accident (you can read more of the story here). I had always been interested in craft and design, so when I first learned to bead, it seemed perfectly natural to me to create my own designs, rather than follow tutorials from others. Over the years, I created and published over 500 individual beading tutorials, selling them on the Beadflowers website and through the Beadflowers Etsy store.
Now, I have turned them into a series of books. Each book offers you many, many tutorials, arranged by theme. You will find all of these books on your local Amazon site. Here on this page, I would like to introduce you to each of them, so that you can see which titles you will enjoy.
You may also wish to invest in the first three volumes in this series, all of which cover the beading basics. These were the blogs that I used to share on the My World of Beads website. I created that site to help others find their way into beading, and to improve their skills. So, those three volumes will introduce you to the beads, threads and other materials. They will teach you the basic techniques. And they will share a wealth of information to help you with such diverse things as choosing your own colour schemes, entering beading competitions, publishing and selling your own work. Just follow this link to browse those books and choose whatever you need.
For now, let’s get back to the series of books that shares my actual beading projects…
Beadflowers Beading Patterns Book Series
Enjoy a diverse range of titles, covering all the many patterns I created. Each book is available from your local Amazon store. I will be linking to the UK site, but you can easily find your own country’s site by replacing the .co.uk in the web address with .com or .jp, or whatever is appropriate to your local version of Amazon. You can also search for the books by title or using the ISBN number.
With 23 books in the series, let me give you an overview of what to expect. You can follow the links to find the detailed description and contents of each book. Each of the books offers a set of projects that are linked by a theme. So, let’s take a look…
French Beading and Bead Embroidery

The first two books in the series cover the projects that do not involve bead-weaving. So, you have a book about French beading, which gives you over 40 patterns plus a full explanation of all the techniques and some advice on design.
The bead embroidery book also offers you my bead embroidery patterns plus a detailed guide to the bead embroidery techniques and how to design your own work.
Each of these books will be perfect for anyone wishing to learn these styles of beadwork, or to grow and develop their skills. In order to see exactly what you get in each book, please follow this link. Or, if you know you wish to buy either of the books, just click on the button below to go direct to Amazon.
Beadflowers Beaded Jewellery Tutorials

In total, I have six books that offer projects for making beaded jewellery. You will find two volumes of necklace and pendant tutorials – around 100 different projects in total. I have also published two volumes of bracelet tutorials – again, around 100 different projects. Then, you have a single volume of beaded earring patterns and a single book with beaded beads that you can turn into jewellery.
All of the books offer a projects designed for a wide range of levels of experience. So, you can grow and develop your skills. They also use a wide range of bead-weaving techniques and a range of different beads. Beaded Ornaments and decorations

The next theme covers bead-weaving projects that make ornaments, gifts and other decorative items. So, this includes all the keyrings, ornaments and gifts that are appropriate any time of year. Then we have two volumes of projects to make Christmas decorations and also decorations and ornaments for Easter, Halloween and Valentines.
You will also find the book with all my beaded lantern projects. Plus a book that offers all the beaded pen tutorials I created. Those fit both slimline beadable pens and G2 pens.
Finally, under this theme, you can find the complete deck of beaded playing cards.
If you would like to see the full details of all the projects within each book, please follow this link. Beadflowers Beaded Boxes

Over the course of my beading career, I published more than 100 beaded box tutorials. So, they are split into six books, each of which covers a theme.
The first book includes all of the beaded boxes made with Superduo (and other two-holed) beads. The next volume offers the simpler box styles made with delica and seed beads. Then we have more complex boxes, again made with delicas.
The remaining three volumes all cover boxes with a specific theme. So, we have all the beaded boxes with food themes. Then all the boxes for festive occasions like Christmas, Easter and St Patrick’s Day. Finally, we have the full beaded Nativity set. Although this is created as a set of beaded boxes, you can also make all the characters as straightforward ornaments – full instructions are in the book.
As with the other sections, you can follow this link to see exactly which projects you get in each book. That page will also give you all the details such as full book title and ISBN. So, you can use those to locate the books on your local Amazon site. If you are ready to buy, just click on the button below to go to Amazon UK.
Beaded Chocolate Box Book on Amazon
This book is dedicated entirely to one epic project – a box of chocolates. I invite you to watch the original video I created(back in 2020!) to showcase both the project and the book. That is the easiest way of sharing exactly what you’re getting here.
Just to recap: This book is in two halves. The first half is the story of how this design came to life. As I was creating and beading this, I kept a journal and photographed the progress, so you could really see what goes into designing and creating a beading project. Then, in the second half, I’ve given you the complete instructions for making your own beaded box of chocolates. The instructions are detailed step by step, written and accompanied by photos and diagrams. I’ve also given many variations and options for tailoring the project to your budget and beading skills. So, although this is designed for confident beaders, it is also something you can use to develop skills and grow your confidence.

Testimonials for Katie’s Beading Tutorials

Dahlia Beaded Beads
“Good and clear instructions and much fun to make. The dahlia beads are also multi-use flowers, adaptable to make more jewellery.”
Akoya

Beaded Cat Pendant
“I managed to complete this pattern despite having no previous experience of the stitches and have gone on to make more cats. As usual the steps are clearly laid out with good photographs and stitch diagrams. A very cute cat pattern which will gladden the heart of any crazy cat lady!”
Lesley

Liquorice Allsorts Beaded Beads
“This is one of my favourite patterns to make. Katie’s instructions show step by step how to shape the different sweets and once you understand the shaping, the pattern is easily adapted to bead around a base bead i.e. wooden or plastic bead. I have used this pattern to shape the sweets without any filling and shaping over a base bead, also using size 11 beads and using Delica beads. A lot of fun can be had trying the different methods. And, of course, having a bowl of all-sorts nearby for inspiration!“
